Jeep Sales & Service Sign Pacay, PH **Status Unknown**
UPDATE: **Status Unknown** The listing has been removed from eBay for some reason.
This is a 13.5″ sign spotted on eBay by Chris. It’s located in the Philippines.
“This Auction is for this Vintage Jeep Dealer Sign . It is rusty in places and a little dirty but I did try to clean it and may not be completely flat as well but it may still need more cleaning after you receive it. I treated the rusty places so it’s not too bad anymore .
It measures 13 1/2 Inches at its longest measurement And is heavy metal sign not plastic or decals stickers.
I auction signs for customers here and I keep contact information if you need more information on this I will contact original owner of this and see if can get more information for you . or if you like I can get you contact information from the owner just let me know in advance
The age and condition of this is seen in pictures so look closely before deciding to bid because by bidding you are in agreement to bid to win and keep this item as The pictures are part of the item description.”
1947 Ad 1001 Jobs For The Jeep
I’m still looking for the 1001 list. You can see the original ad at this link.
1961 Brochure Jeeps Vs. Scouts
UPDATE: The 4-page brochure doesn’t include a DJ-5 or 6, because they didn’t arrive until 1965 (thanks Colin). This may have been produced in March of 1961. International Harvester released their own 40+-page review of the Scout vs. the Jeep a month later. Coincidence?
I scooped this brochure off of eBay. Not the back page the brochure shows the “World’s Most Convertible Vehicles”, yet one of the two DJ-3As pictured has a top. Instead, why not include a DJ-5 or 6?

James Motor Co.’s Willys Jeep Adv Card on eBay
I thought this was a business card at first, but it is 3.5″ x 8″, so it’s much larger than that. There’s nothing on the reverse side.

Jeep Contest Winner Prize Maverick on eBay
This was a Maverick-related Jeep contest award item. Anyone know what this is? Seller doesn’t seem to know.
Jeep Loader Options Over the Years
This post began as a reference to a Farm Collector article about Jeep Loaders by Jim Gay. It turns out that there were several loaders that weren’t included. Below you’ll find the most complete list I’ve been able to assemble.
FARM COLLECTOR ARTICLE:
- Baldwin Loader
- Mahl Loader
- Morton Loader
- Schenecker Hydraulic Lift Loader (posted here)
- Jeep-A-Loader
- This appears to be a lone surviving example of a Scheneker Loader:
- Unknown Loader (probably custom one-off)
- Tow-Loader
- A 1955 Willys Product Merchandising Manual mentions a Gran Hydraulic Loader. These were rear loaders. More on them soon.

1968 Snow Bunnies jeep Ad
The 1950s jeeps were built for work. The 1960s jeeps were built for fun, as this 1968 ad from the Norwalk Hour attests.

Download The Willys Story
You may remember that a few months ago a document called The Willys Story went up for sale on eBay. Well, fortunately for all of us, that document sold to an eWillys reader who asked if I would make a high-resolution version available to anyone who wants it. Given the document was a pricey purchase, it’s a very generous offer. So, a big thank you is in order for that anonymous benefactor!
The document is 85 pages and purports to show all the different aspect of the Willys-Overland Company from 1940 to 1954. You’ll see that Willys had their hands into a variety of things, not just jeeps.
I’ve uploaded the file to my google drive, so downloading it should be a snap. It is just under 400MB, so it’s not a small PDF file.

(I have never used by google drive space. My test of the download worked. But, the internet sometimes works in mysterious ways, so if you have problems, please let me know!)
=============================
Below are some low res pictures of some of the jeep-related images:
Early Meyers Hardtop Brochure
This brochure suggests that a company called Meyers Aircraft developed the hardtop that was eventually sold/taken-over by Sears. It makes sense that an aircraft company would make an aluminum hardtop. So, there may be a few Meyers’ made hardtops mistaken as Sears or Allstate tops.

The “Easy-Way” post-hole digger was manufactured by Standar Steel Works out of Kansas City, MO. I thought i’d done a post on the early post-hole diggers that were available, but I hadn’t. So, expect that one soon.
